ECU poll sheds light on upcoming elections
GREENVILLE, N.C. (9/3/2024) – The East Carolina University Center for Survey Research today announced the results of its latest poll regarding the upcoming elections in North Carolina.
According to the poll conducted in late August, former President Donald Trump currently holds a one percentage point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris among registered voters in North Carolina who plan to vote in the election. The numbers stand at 48% for Trump and 47% for Harris with 3% of potential voters undecided (margin of error is +/- 3%). This data provides valuable insights into the current political landscape in the state.
In addition, the survey results indicate a growing lead in the race for governor of North Carolina with Democrat and State Attorney General Josh Stein garnering 47% support, while Republican Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is close behind with 41% support.
To provide further analysis and context on these findings, Dr. Peter Francia, director of the Center for Survey Research, is available for interviews via Zoom and Teams.
