COVID-19 UPDATE – MARCH 12

To our ECU Community:

Thank you for your patience and support. We want to stress that ECU remains open and operational. Spring break has been extended to Friday, March 20. We will transition to alternative delivery classes on Monday, March 23. Students who live in residence halls are strongly discouraged from returning to campus today. The university expects to release details no later than 9 a.m. Friday, March 13 about the process for anyone who needs to return to residence halls to retrieve personal belongings or stay on campus while classes are delivered via alternate methods. Many questions are answered on our Frequently Asked Questions page, which continues to be updated. If you do not see an answer to your questions, please contact the university call center that has been established. Call 252-737-5100 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. We may not have an answer to every question right away but will do our best to provide accurate and timely responses.

This is an unprecedented situation that has quickly evolved, and though we have been planning for most possibilities, it is impossible to predict every scenario our students, faculty and staff will face. As this situation continues to evolve, it is important to rely on official ECU sources for the most accurate and up-to-date information, which can be found on this Coronavirus Updates page and on the main university social media accounts.

We are all in this together, Pirate Nation, and we thank you for patience, understanding, flexibility and overall our care for one another as we navigate this challenge.
