A sabretooth cat skull is one of the drawings by ECU School of Art and Design alumnus David Dodge Lewis to be displayed in a new exhibit opening Jan. 21 in ECU’s Wellington B. Gray Art Gallery. Lewis began using wax in large-scale works in the mid-1980s after adapting the techniques of 20th century English sculptor Henry Moore who used wax as a resist for ink washes on a small scale.
