ECU finance professor James Kleckley, director of the Bureau of Business Research, was quoted in a News & Observer article about how state budget plans are affecting rural areas.
He addressed the Senate proposal to defund the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center, explaining that it is harder to attract jobs to rural counties.
