ECU to host international conference on terrorism April 19-20
East Carolina University will host an international conference on the Moral Psychology of Terrorism, Implications for Security April 19 -20 at the Croatan Green Room on campus.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Rico Sneller of Leiden University in The Netherlands, speaking on “Dreams, Morality and Terrorism”; Dr. James Lewis, University of Tromso, Norway on “Social Encapsulation and the Legitimation of Violence”; Dr. Richard Feist of Saint Paul University, Canada on “The Indecisive Nature of Battle: Montesquieu and Counter-Insurgency”; Dr. Mahmoud Masaeli of Saint Paul University on “Confused Sense of Selfhood and Moral Psychology of Terror”; and Dr. Derek Maher of ECU on “Tibetan Terrorism? A Case Study in Name-Calling.”
