Country Doctor Museum sets Holiday Open House Dec. 1

BAILEY, N.C.  —   The Country Doctor Museum will host its 3rd annual Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Admission and activities are free. Complimentary hot apple cider and cookies will be served in the museum gift shop. Several holiday activities will be offered at the museum. In the library, guests can make free sachets throughout the day. Demonstrations on how to make pomanders and lavender bath salts will be held at 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. respectively. All participants will receive take-home instructions and a sample of bath salts. A drawing will be held for a pomander.

On the same day, several museum staff members, dressed in historic costumes including a country doctor, midwife, World War I nurse and 1950s nurse, will participate in the Bailey Christmas Parade in downtown Bailey at 1 p.m.
