Art show and sale Oct. 18 benefits nursing scholarship, research
GREENVILLE, N.C. — An art show and sale on Oct. 18 will benefit nursing scholarships and research at East Carolina University.
The 2nd annual Clothesline Art Show and Sale will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Rock Springs Center, N.C. 43 North. The event is being held in conjunction with the fall banquet of Beta Nu Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing. The art show is sponsored by the Beta Nu chapter and Greenville Brushstrokes.

Artwork is being coordinated by Dee Standish, events coordinator for Greenville Brushstrokes and eastern region director of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina; Dolly Colwell, secretary/treasurer of Greenville Brushstrokes; Janet Dixon, vice president of Greenville Brushstrokes; and Lou Everett, past president of Greenville Brushstrokes and president of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina. Bonnie Pulver is president of Greenville Brushstrokes, which has 65 members. Of those, Standish, Dixon, Linda Griffin and Jeff Jakub are signature members of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina. The Greenville Museum of Art will be hosting the 63rd annual exhibition of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina in 2008.
