Program on respiratory illnesses to be held
GREENVILLE, N.C. — East Carolina University medical professionals will hold a community health education program on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma in adults Wednesday, May 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Edwin W. Monroe AHEC Conference Center in Greenville.
Dr. Mani Kavuru, chief of the division of pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Brody School of Medicine, and Terry Icard, physician assistant and program coordinator, will lead the discussion. Anyone who would like to know more on COPD or asthma in adults, including patients, relatives or friends, is encouraged to attend. Smoking cessation options and resources also will be discussed.
The Monroe Center is at 2000 Venture Tower Drive near the Brody School of Medicine at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
