Matthew Mahar Inducted Fellow in AAHPERD Research Consortium
GREENVILLE, NC — Matthew Mahar, director of East Carolina University’s Activity Promotion Laboratory and professor of exercise and sport science, was named to serve on a leading national research consortium dedicated to the study of health and wellness.
Mahar was one of 16 candidates inducted March 16 into the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). He joins approximately 375 Fellows in the Consortium, a member group of nearly 6,000 research scholars and other members. Fellows are selected based on evidence of scholarship, including research presentations and publications.
