Breathing seminar to be held Jan. 23
GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Better Breathing-Better Health seminar will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the Edwin W. Monroe AHEC Conference Center in Greenville.
The free program is for patients, parents/relatives, friends or anyone interested in learning about shortness of breath and other breathing problems. There will be an opportunity for discussion. Topics will include causes of shortness of breath, testing and treatments, how to identify a chronic or serious lung condition and how to reduce the risk of getting flu or pneumonia.
The session is presented by Dr. Mani S. Kavuru, professor and chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine, and Terry Icard, physican assistant, with the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine.
Better Breathing-Better Health is a series of programs that will be offered on topics such as smoking, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung nodules or other lung problems.
