Court TV features ECU professor
GREENVILLE, NC (Feb. 23, 2004) — East Carolina University professor David Long will be featured this week on a Court TV program addressing rights of privacy and thae invasion of privacy in America.
Long, an associate professor in the Department of History, is a constitutional law expert and will be featured on the station’s program “The System” Tuesday. The weekly program explores complexities of law and justice using true stories of crime, criminals and law enforcement.
Tuesday’s episode, titled “Video Vigilantes,” airs at 10 p.m. It will document the history of the government’s role in intervening in the lives of citizens.
Long said, “The subject is the invasion of privacy and the constitutional issue of the right of privacy when the government intrudes upon your privacy by police surveillance or wire taping.”
Long will discuss with the Constitution says or does not say about the issue.
