Annual white coat ceremony scheduled for Friday
GREENVILLE, N.C. — The Class of 2014 of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University will be welcomed officially at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, during the annual white coat ceremony.
The event will be in the auditorium of the Brody Medical Sciences Building.
The 39 men and 39 women in the class range in age from 20 to 36. As usual, they are all North Carolina residents, with 32 counties of residence listed. They received their undergraduate degrees from 31 different colleges and universities, with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill having the most graduates, 20. ECU has 12 alumni in the class, and North Carolina State University has 11.
Dr. Keith Nelson, professor of obstetrics and gynecology, will address the new medical students.
