Writing AI
Writing teachers have always contended with emerging technologies that spelled impending doom for the future of student success in composition classrooms. Professors in the English department are finding innovative ways to use generative artificial intelligence, and other machine learning tools, to help students learn to be successful in a rapidly shifting information environment.
Students, for their part, are also building self-confidence with the incredibly powerful tools to improve their writing, and opportunities for success after graduation. Together, the ECU community is learning to work with AI, rather than fear the possibilities and promise that the technologies of future hold.
