Quarteto Nuevo brings eclectic fusion to ECU performing arts series

Quarteto Nuevo featuring Damon Zick, Jacob Szekely, Kenton Youngstrom, and Felipe Fraga will perform Oct. 25 as part of the S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series.

Quarteto Nuevo will make their presence known on as they take the stage for the second performance for the 63rd annual S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series at East Carolina University.Quarteto Nuevo showcases a dynamic fusion of Western classical, Eastern European folk, Latin and jazz. Their unique instrumentation — soprano saxophone/alto flute (Damon Zick), cello (Jacob Szekely), guitar (Kenton Youngstrom) and hand percussion (Felipe Fraga) — enhances their wide-ranging repertoire.

Quarteto Nuevo will grace SRAPAS’s stage on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the A.J. Fletcher Recital Hall.

Tickets are available for individual performances at $40 for the public, $30 for faculty and staff, and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling ECU Central Ticketing Office at 252-328-4788.
