Rogers: Return of Pirate Nation Fall 2021
It’s nearly time to return to campus! In just a few weeks, students will be moving into residence halls and off-campus housing, and we look forward to welcoming all of Pirate Nation back to Greenville for the fall semester.
ECU’s Fall 2021 Planning Team has gathered input from across the campus community and invested a great deal of hard work to develop a set of plans and procedures to provide an in-person, on-campus educational experience for our students. The lessons of the past year have informed our preparation for Fall 2021, and with a portion of the campus community now vaccinated, we are approaching this semester with an eye toward providing the most normal possible experience while remaining vigilant to keep our campus safe and healthy.
ECU’s guidelines, regulations and expectations for Fall 2021 are now available on the Return of Pirate Nation website. The site includes the full reports of the Fall 2021 Planning Team and its subgroups, Community Expectations, Operational Matrix and a COVID Dashboard with information on confirmed cases.
If you have not already, I encourage you to get vaccinated. It is the best way to protect yourself and the rest of Pirate Nation. Vaccines are now available for those 12 and older; for more information visit ECU’s vaccination webpage.
By working together, we can ensure a successful semester on campus. As Pirates, we remain UNDAUNTED!
