ECU OA: Praise Iyore

Why did you choose ECU and what are some things that you love most about ECU? I chose ECU because of the community, and how welcoming people are at the school. Something I love about ECU is how open everyone is and how willing everyone is to help each other. I also love that there are so many opportunities to be involved in something at ECU which makes it all the more interesting and worthwhile.
What do you remember from your own orientation that made you want to be an OA? I remember that my OA was very inviting. I also love that everyone was more than willing to answer any questions asked whether it was big or small.
How will your experiences shape your approach as an OA? In this leadership role I am looking forward to growing as a leader, helping students grow, and also being connected with the students and help the student find their way around the school.
What do you hope incoming students and family members take away from orientation? I hope the takeaways will be all the amazing resources and opportunities that ECU has to offer and also that the students know they can feel safe at the school.
