ECU to host three events to support military veterans
GREENVILLE, N.C. (3/19/2025) – Three events hosted by East Carolina University’s Thomas D. Arthur Graduate School of Business are aimed at empowering veterans with career opportunities, community support and lasting connections.
WHAT: ECU’s Arthur Graduate School of Business, in partnership with Whole Vet, is hosting the series aimed at supporting military veterans, transitioning service members and their families. The events will take place over two days and provide valuable career resources, networking opportunities and community engagement to enhance the lives of those who have served.
The events begin Friday, March 21, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the Military Veteran Enablement Coalition. MVEC brings together veteran service organizations, corporations and colleges to create meaningful opportunities for military veterans. Attendees will connect with key resources and a network dedicated to their success. Registration for the Military Veteran Enablement Coalition is available online.
The Military Career Transition event on Friday, March 21, 1-5 p.m., is designed to equip veterans, transitioning service members and their families with the tools they need for success in the next phase of their journey. Participants will gain access to career opportunities, professional development panels and exclusive networking sessions. Registration for the Military Career Transition Day is available online.
The Silkies Hike on Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m., hosted by Irreverent Warriors, is a unique event focused on preventing veteran suicide by fostering camaraderie and connection. This hike offers veterans a chance to bond, support one another and build lasting relationships.
All events take place at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, Williams-Clark Club Level, 100 Ficklen Drive.
The events reinforce the Arthur Graduate School of Business’ commitment to honoring and assisting veterans as they navigate civilian life. Community members, employers and organizations are encouraged to attend and support these initiatives.
