ECU to celebrate fall graduates Friday in Minges Coliseum

GREENVILLE, N.C. (12/10/24) – East Carolina University will host a commencement ceremony Dec. 13 in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum to celebrate members of the fall Class of 2024. Bob Greczyn ‘73 will be the keynote speaker.

The university ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and a livestream of the event will be available for those unable to attend. The link to the livestream will be posted on the commencement website and become active Friday morning.

Nearly 2,000 students will graduate from ECU this fall representing 86 North Carolina counties and 37 states.

North Carolina’s first Project Kitty Hawk graduate will receive her degree from ECU this Friday after completing the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program. Project Kitty Hawk partners with UNC System institutions to solve workforce needs throughout the state by building high demand degree programs and by providing student support solutions specifically tailored for nontraditional learners.

Those not attending the commencement or recognition ceremonies should avoid areas near the Grady-White Boats Athletic Campus and main campus. Most traffic for the 10 a.m. ceremony will enter using Charles Boulevard. Elm Street, 14th Street, 10th Street and Greenville Boulevard will also have additional traffic. Motorists should expect traffic impacts in the area through late afternoon.
