Employee COVID-19 Attestation Announcement

With COVID-19 cases rising rapidly due to the more transmissible Delta variant, ECU’s Fall 2021 Planning Committee needs a better understanding of how many ECU students and employees are vaccinated for COVID-19 before the start of the semester.

All ECU employees have received an email with a request to attest their vaccination status. Check your mailbox (including the Junk Mailbox), locate your personal URL, and complete the one-question attestation as soon as possible. If you are unable to locate the attestation email, please log in to Pirate Port. Once there, click on the bell notification icon on the right side of the screen and proceed to the attestation form. If you encounter a technical issue, email chapmank@ecu.edu.

The attestation is requested from all employees, including those who got vaccinated through an ECU clinic or have already submitted their vaccination documents to myPirateChart. Your attestation is confidential and will be used to identify the pool of employees who will enter ECU’s COVID-19 surveillance testing program throughout Fall 2021. Falsification of the information implicit in your response is grounds for disciplinary action through appropriate personnel processes. A lack of response will imply the choice to enter ECU’s surveillance testing program.

Vaccination is the best way to keep COVID-19 from spreading and is an individual’s best protection against the Delta variant. Vaccinations are available on campus through ECU’s Student Health Services,  ECU Physicians or ECU Family Practice Pharmacy.

Employees should direct questions regarding ECU’s COVID-19 surveillance testing program to covidemployeetesting@ecu.edu. For other questions, please contact employeerelations@ecu.edu.
