Student Parking Permits for Spring 2021

ECU Parking and Transportation Services continues to adapt and adjust, just as you are, during these challenging times related to the COVID-19 virus. Below is some vital information regarding vehicle registration and permit purchasing for the spring 2021 semester for new and returning students.

Please remember that parking on campus is by permit only and vehicles must have a valid ECU permit displayed at all times.

Permits for new and returning students will be available for purchase beginning Monday, Jan. 11. Specific zone sales are on a first-come, first-served basis.

All vehicle registrations and permit purchases are conducted online via PiratePort or by phone call only. New and returning students can purchase permits online through PiratePort by clicking the Parking and Transportation Services tab or by calling the Parking and Transportation Office at 252-328-6294.

Instructions on how to access PiratePort and purchase your parking permit are found on the Parking and Transportation website. Permits are prorated; however, the full price is shown until you proceed to check out. The system will automatically apply the updated price before you finalize your transaction.

Permit purchases made by 2 p.m. weekdays will be available for pick up the next business day, between the hours of 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. at the Parking and Transportation building, located at 305 E. 10th St. (next to McDonald’s).

*Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, occupancy will be limited and face masks are required. The online PiratePort option is strongly encouraged.

If you have additional questions about purchasing your permit, vehicle registration or the online transaction process, please visit the Parking and Transportation website. You can also contact Parking and Transportation at 252-328-6294 or parking@ecu.edu for specific questions.
