Mitchelson: Return of Pirate Nation
The start of the Fall 2020 semester is here. Students are moving into residence halls; we held Faculty Convocation this morning. During the past months, much work has gone into preparing for the Return of Pirate Nation and the start of classes Monday.
ECU used the talents and expertise across our campus community to develop the essential regulations, standard operating procedures, plans, and processes that will serve as our guiding principles for 2020-21. Our ability to successfully provide a residential, in person educational experience depends upon each member of the university community adhering to requirements adopted for our collective health and safety. I am pleased with the work accomplished and believe we are on the proper course.
It is imperative the ECU Community is aware of the regulations/standard operating procedures related to COVID-19 and the academic semester ahead. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible throughout these challenging times because we all have a key role in keeping our campus safe and healthy.
We strongly encourage you to review the new, interim regulations and standard operating procedures in place for the Fall 2020 semester. Those are available on the Return of Pirate Nation website here and in the University Policy Manual here.
