There are many reasons to say #ThanksECU.

Student researcher Serena Mooney #ThanksECU for allowing her to be a part of cutting-edge research and contribute to her future career in medicine. Interim Chancellor Dr. Ron Mitchelson #ThanksECU for living the golden rule: Pirates show respect.
So, why do you say #ThanksECU?
Share your #ThanksECU message in our Facebook group for a chance to be featured on ECU’s official social media accounts and share your #ThanksECU message in video form for a chance to be featured in ARRRGH end-of-year #ThanksECU video.
Video submissions for inclusion in the end-of-year video will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Nov. 30, 2019 in the Facebook group.
Be Featured: ECU’s Social Media
To be considered as a feature on our social media channels, please include in your post in our Facebook group:
• A photo of yourself in ECU apparel (can be new or old)
• First name and last name
• Your state or country
• If you’re a student, alumni, fan, Pirate parent or family member, future Pirate, faculty or staff member
• If you’re an ECU grad, include your class year
• Why you say #ThanksECU
Be Featured: #ThanksECU Video
To be considered for our end-of-year video, please follow these guidelines in your video post in our Facebook group:
• Video can be filmed on your phone, your computer webcam, etc. – you do not need an expensive camera.
• Film video horizontally (not portrait like a Snapchat)
• Include your first name and last name
• Include the state or country you are living in
• Include if you’re a student, alumni, fan, Pirate parent or family member, future Pirate, faculty or staff member
• If you’re an ECU grad, include your class year
• Tell us why you say #ThanksECU
