ECU classes to resume 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19
East Carolina University will resume classes beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, with flexibility and support for students who cannot travel or return at that time due to hurricane-related issues, according to university officials.
Residence halls will open at noon Tuesday, Sept. 18.
All Brody School of Medicine and School of Dental Medicine students should refer to emails from their respective administrators regarding class schedules.
For employees, Condition 2 of the UNC System Adverse Weather and Emergency Event policy continues until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, when Condition 1 begins and continues until 8 a.m. Wednesday, when normal operations resume. Staff who cannot report to work should contact their supervisor.

ECU Facilities staff have been out on campus assessing buildings and cleaning up fallen debris. They report campus received minimal damage.
Road conditions in North Carolina vary dramatically. Students returning to Greenville should check road conditions for their planned travel route by visiting the NC DOT website: https://tims.ncdot.gov/tims/. Updates on Greenville streets can be found at bit.ly/GreenvilleRoads .

Effective 8 a.m. Monday, an ECU call center will be in operation at 252-737-5100 for students, parents and staff who have non-emergency questions related to the hurricane. It will be staffed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

ECU Physicians will reopen for patient appointments beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17.
