PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

ECU to host input session as UNC president search begins

East Carolina University will host one of four regional input sessions for the public, faculty, staff, students and alumni to give their thoughts on the qualities most needed in the new University of North Carolina president.

UNC President Tom Ross will step down in January 2016 after five years of distinguished service, and the UNC Board of Governors has begun to search for the next leader of the 17-campus system.

All those involved in the search process are committed to finding a proven leader with the experience, skills and vision needed to build on the university’s long tradition of excellence and further its mission of teaching, research and service to the state.

As the committee begins this critically important work, members are asking for public input that can be used to help shape the leadership profile of the next president.
