Lots to close early Oct. 23

The 10th Street B1 zone lot across from Christenbury Gym will be closed all day to accommodate the Student Affairs alcohol-free tailgate zone.

Beginning Thursday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m, the following parking lots will close. The lots will reopen for game parking at 4 p.m.:

  • Resident Remote Lot, Curry Court
  • All parking lots adjacent to Minges, Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and the Olympic Sports Complex.
  • Along Charles Street, the Carol Belk Building lots.
  • The large B1 lot at the bottom of College Hill.
  • Along 10th Street, the A1 zone spaces in front of the Christenbury Gym, Brewster Building and Fletcher Music Center.

Individuals parked in those spaces should begin moving vehicles at noon. Any unauthorized vehicles remaining in the lot after 3:30 p.m. will be towed.

C zone, D zone and B1 zone permit holders will be allowed to park in the A1 zone spaces beginning at 12 noon. These permit holders can also park in the B1 zone at the corner of 9th Street and Evans Street (across from Starbucks). D zone permit holders will also be allowed to park in the B2 zones on Reade Street. A2 zones will remain only accessible to A2 permit holders.

Visitor parking permits for the College Hill A2 lot will not be sold on Oct. 23. Visitors may park free of charge in the B2 zones along Reade Street.

Reserved Lots for Game Parking

Non-Student Pirate Club members may park in the Curry Court, Minges and Belk parking lots described above.

Beginning at 4 p.m., Student Pirate Club members who can display a reserved Student Pirate Club parking permit may park in the B1 reserved lot at the bottom of College Hill. That permit is available through Mark Hessert, ECU Athletics, at 252-737-4540 or 252-375-5226.

A1 zone spaces along 10th Street in front of the Christenbury Gym, Brewster Building and Fletcher Music Center are reserved for ADA (handicapped) parking.

Individuals should not park in other reserved, handicapped, or maintenance/service spaces or in no parking and fire zones. Parking meters must be kept activated.

Tailgating lots will open at 4 p.m.
