Parenting classes offered

The ECU Department of Child Development and Family Relations is offering positive parenting classes aimed at promoting positive relationships between parents and children.

The program should help parents develop effective management strategies for dealing with a variety of childhood behavior problems and common developmental issues.

Classes will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays for five weeks this summer. Classes run from May 29 through June 26 in the Rivers Building. Participants must join the program at the first session to gain maximum benefit.

ECU faculty Eboni Baugh, Kerry Littlewood, Sharon Ballard, Lisa Tyndall and Brittney Temple will conduct the classes at no charge. Participants may make a monetary contribution to the department or to the School of Social Work.

Space is limited and reservation is recommended. Call 252-328-4206 or e-mail tyndalll@ecu.edu to register.
