Moldin Scholarship applications available for chemistry, biology majors

East Carolina University’s Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences’ Scholarship Selection Committee is accepting applications for the Moldin Scholarship, to be awarded for the 2013–14 academic year. Applications are due by Friday, March 22.

The Moldin Scholarship, established in 2006 by ECU alumni Richard and Nancy Moldin, provides a $2,000 annual scholarship to two rising juniors enrolled full time in the Department of Chemistry or the Department of Biology.

To apply for the Moldin Scholarship, students must be enrolled as a full-time junior for the 2013–14 academic year, majoring in chemistry or biology, with a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need, as verified by the Office of Student Financial Aid.

The $2,000 annual scholarship award shall be for one academic year – $1,000 each semester – and is renewable through the recipient’s senior year, upon maintenance of the scholarship eligibility criteria. Students interested in applying for the scholarship should complete an application form, available at www.ecu.edu/cas, or from the chair of their department.

Application forms and supporting documents must be returned by March 22, to:
