ECU opens North Recreational Complex with Spring Fest

With temperatures soaring into the 80s, students flocked to East Carolina University’s North Recreational Complex for a celebration of Spring Fest March 15. The event marked the official opening of the 2012 season at the complex and included free food, live music, games, activities and prizes for winners of the No Quarter Olympics.

The complex opened last fall with a 51,000 square foot beach on a 5.6 lake for boating and fishing and a 2,000 square foot boathouse. Closed from November through March, the center is open to ECU students, faculty and staff. (Photos and video by Cliff Hollis)
