SEANC to hold membership drive, vendor fair
The East Carolina University chapter of the State Employees Association of North Carolina, District 65, will hold a membership drive and vendor fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Tipsy Teapot, 409 Evans St., Greenville.
Representatives from the Raleigh SEANC office will present information and answer questions about membership benefits, insurance programs and what SEANC does in Raleigh to help state employees.
ECU employees interested in SEANC and SEANC members are welcomed. The first 100 non-members will receive a free sandwich lunch. Boxed lunches will be available for purchase.
The vendor fair will include businesses such as Verizon, InTone Fitness, ECU Physicians, SpeeDee Oil Change, Attraction Dining Guides and Avon. Give-aways, coupons and discounts will be available.
SEANC is the South’s leading state employees’ association with 55,000 members. SEANC employs full time lobbyists in the N.C. General Assembly to help protect and enhance pay, health care and retirement benefits for state employees.
Members receive free $1,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance benefits, low-cost insurance offers and discounts at more than 3,000 businesses across the state and nation. The organization also gives thousands in college scholarships annually to members and their dependents.
