ECU to raise tuition, fees

GREENVILLE, N.C.—   The University of North Carolina system’s Board of Governors today approved a plan to raise tuition and fees for in-state undergraduate students at public universities. 

At East Carolina University, tuition and fees for these students will increase by a total amount of $71.

Tuition for in-state undergraduate students at ECU will increase by 1.9 percent, or $46 in the 2009-10 academic year. Currently, these students pay $2,445 per year in tuition. In 2009-10, they will pay $2,491 per year. 

ECU will raise student fees by $25 in the next academic year. Currently, total fees for in-state undergraduate students are $1,774. Total fees for these students in the 2009-10 academic year will be $1,799.

Combined tuition and fees for in-state, undergraduate students at ECU in the 2009-10 academic year will be $4,290.
