NCDOT installs signs for ECU on Interstates
The N.C. Department of Transportation will install new directional signs to East Carolina University along I-95 and U.S. 64. The Board of Transportation approved this project Jan. 6. The signs on I-95 will be located near the U.S. 64 and U.S. 264 interchanges and will help direct motorists to the university. “Being the third largest school in the UNC system, with one of the premier medical schools in the United States and as a NCAA Division I school, ECU attracts many visitors who are unfamiliar with the area,” said Marvin Blount III of Greenville, who represents the area on the Board of Transportation. “These signs will provide much-needed directional assistance to these visitors.” “I would like to thank Representatives Marian McLawhorn and Edith Warren for their support of this project,” said Blount. The signs will be installed by the start of the Fall 2005 school semester.
