ECU Commencement to be held May 8

GREENVILLE, NC   (Mar. 24, 2004)   —   East Carolina University will hold two graduation ceremonies in Minges Coliseum on Saturday, May 8.

Instead of holding separate undergraduate and graduate ceremonies, university officials opted this semester to split degree candidates by colleges and schools for spring commencement.

The 10 a.m. ceremony will be held for all graduates of the following: the College of Education, College of Human Ecology, College of Health and Human Performance, College of Technology and Computer Science, School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Nursing and the Brody School of Medicine.

The 2 p.m. ceremony will be held for the graduates of the following: the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and the College of Fine Arts and Communication.

Degree candidates at all levels (undergraduate, masters, other advanced graduate degrees and certificates, and doctoral) will participate in the ceremony for their respective college or school as outlined above. In addition to the formal ceremony, individual departments may hold recognition ceremonies for graduates. The Commencement Office will coordinate scheduling of space for the unit ceremonies.

Students and faculty who plan to attend graduation must register in advance through ECU’s OneStop. Details and commencement instructions are available at www.ecu.edu/commencement.
