The annual event showcases a wide range of original artwork created by undergraduate and graduate students. Visitors can browse and purchase photography, textiles, jewelry, sculpture, paintings, ceramics and other one-of-a-kind pieces produced through ECU’s Visual Arts Forums student guild. Credit cards, checks and cash will be accepted for all Visual Arts Forum purchases.
This year’s sale also features glass ornaments, flowers, vases, cups, bowls and sculptural works crafted at ECU’s GlasStation. The glass sale will be in the special collections room at the back of the gallery. Proceeds from glass art sales support the GlasStation and its programs. These purchases may be made by credit card or check.
The sale opens on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Friday hours overlap with Greenville’s First Friday Art Walk, giving visitors an opportunity to explore additional arts programming in the area, and offering a reception with light refreshments in the gallery.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the ECU Chamber Singers, University Chorale and Concert Choir will present “Sounds of the Season” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greenville. The beloved annual concert is free and open to the public with a live stream available on YouTube.
Together, these events offer the community a chance to celebrate creativity, support student artists and enjoy ECU’s longstanding holiday traditions.
